This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using the Nour Al-Muslim app (the "App") and the website www.nouralmuslim.com (the "Website"), both provided by The Innovates Tech Inc. ("we", "us"). It forms part of our Terms of Use. By using the App or the Website you agree to follow it.

1. The spirit of this policy
Nour Al-Muslim exists to help people read, listen to, understand and live by the Quran and the Sunnah. Please use it with the respect that the sacred texts it contains deserve, and in a way that does not harm others, the App, the Website or our services.
2. Lawful and respectful use
You must not use the App or the Website to:
- break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual-property and privacy rights;
- mock, distort or misrepresent the Quran, the hadith or other texts in the App, or present altered text as if it were the original;
- harass, threaten, defame or incite hatred or violence against any person or group;
- deceive people, including by impersonating us, the App or another person, or by suggesting that we endorse you;
- distribute malware, spam or unsolicited messages.
3. Content and licences
The Quran text and layout data, recitations and word timings, translations, tafsir, hadith, books, athkar and Athan recordings in the App belong to their respective authors, publishers and reciters and are used under their terms. The list of sources and licences is in the App under Settings → About → Content and licences. Except as the law or those licences allow, you must not:
- copy, extract, scrape or republish the App's text, audio, images, data files or databases, in whole or in substantial part;
- repackage the App or its content into another app, website or product;
- remove or alter copyright notices, attributions or grades shown with a text.
Sharing a verse, a hadith or a short passage for personal, educational or non-commercial purposes, with its reference, is welcome.
4. Security and integrity
You must not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify or create derivative works of the App, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
- bypass, disable or interfere with any security, licensing or technical-protection feature;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Website or our servers, or breach any security or authentication measure, except as allowed in section 10;
- attack, overload, flood or disrupt the Website, the recitation download service or any network connected to them, including denial-of-service attacks;
- access or try to access data, systems or accounts that are not intended for you.
5. Automated access
Search engines may index the Website in line with our robots.txt. Otherwise, you must not use robots, scrapers or other automated means to access the Website or the recitation download service in a way that sends more requests than a person could reasonably send with an ordinary browser, or to collect content for redistribution, data mining or training of AI models, without our written permission.
6. Using STRATA AI responsibly
- STRATA quotes the texts in the App and offers AI-generated explanations, which can be wrong. Do not present STRATA's answers as fatwas or religious rulings, and do not attribute them to scholars.
- For questions about your own situation, consult a qualified scholar.
- Do not try to make STRATA produce content that is unlawful, hateful or misrepresents Islam, or attempt to extract the model or its data.
- If you connect an outside AI model, you are responsible for complying with that provider's terms and policies.
7. Recording features
Recitation checking and voice questions use your microphone. Use them only to record yourself. Do not record other people without their consent or where recording is not allowed.
8. The TV screen
Pair the TV screen only with screens on networks you are entitled to use, and do not use it to display content in a public place in a way that breaks local law or the rights of others.
9. Our name and brand
"Nour Al-Muslim", "نور المسلم", "STRATA" and the related logos are used by The Innovates Tech Inc. You may refer to the App by name, and press may use the materials on our press page. Do not use our name or logos in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement, or for another app, without our written permission.
10. Reporting problems and vulnerabilities
If you find an error in a text, a timing or a calculation, please tell us with its reference. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, report it privately to [email protected] (see also security.txt). Please give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it, do not access or change other people's data, and do not degrade the service. We will not take legal action against good-faith research that follows these rules.
11. Enforcement
If we believe this policy has been breached, we may, without notice, block access to the Website or our download service, report unlawful activity to the authorities, and take any other action permitted by law. We may also investigate and cooperate with law enforcement.
